Just a reminder that we are having a neighborhood work day on June 1 starting at 6:00 p.m. This basically means that we'll have about 2 1/2 hours to get some things accomplished in the neighborhood. So here's the plan. Let's meet at the corner of South Wind Drive and Daylilly Lane at 6:00 p.m. If some of you can bring trash bags that would be great. We'll have some people out picking up trash and others working on our little mountain at the seconday entranceway. Also, if we have yards that need to be cut, we can get some people working on that.
On the issue of grass-cutting, I have recruited a few of our young men to cut grass. I was out and about the other night and asked them if they would be interested. They both said that they would be. Now we will just need to round up some lawnmowers for them to use.
If any of you can think of anything else that we should work on Friday evening, post a comment and tell us. I hope that we can make the most out of our 2 1/2 hours and really get some things accomplished.
Other Reminders: 2nd Quarter dues need to be paid by the end of June.
We have drafted violation warnings and are in the process of finalizing those. We plan to have Officer Overcash at our June meeting to discuss our legal enforcability rights for certain issues.
As always, if you see any suspicious activity in the neighborhood, please call 911 if appropriate and contact our Neighborhood Watch Chairperson, Alfred Tillman at 704-906-0329 or Neighbhood Watch Assistant, Rebecca Steen, at 704-965-6627.
Look forward to seeing you all next Friday.
Sincerely, Rebecca
